Google is working on a smartphone Nexus 5

Prototype LG Nexus 5

Despite rumors that Google is already working on the next Nexus smartphone can not surprise anyone, the information that the search giant already has several functional prototypes could be great news for Android-enthusiast. The guys from the portal Android & Me say that they managed to get a photo of one prototype, which may (or may not) be on the market by the name of Nexus 5.

An unnamed source told the portal that Google has several prototypes of different companies that it currently considers to be the next Nexus 5. Some of it has declined, but the source did not say – if she refused to what is shown in the photo above.

And the photo above is the so-called LG Megalodon – the first (and perhaps only) attempt of the company as the new Nexus 5.

First, we note that as the processor for the quad-Novikov predicting chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with a frequency of 2.3 GHz. The truth should make a reservation, this chipset will not be available for commercial use until the fourth quarter of 2013. So, if LG Megalodon going to launch in the market in October, the company will have a very hurry to catch chipset adapted to your needs. At least that’s according to the very source of this photo.

Next is information about the screen. Mention of the 5.2-inch capacitive OLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The availability of 3 GB of memory standard LPDDR3, 16/32/64 GB of permanent memory chip Qualcomm RF360 (LTE 150 Mbit / s and HSPA +), front speakers, a 16-megapixel camera OmniVision (4K-video recording at 30 frames per second and 1080p at 60 frames per second) with optical stabilizer, support HDR and sensor BSI 2.0. Battery information indicates capacity of 3300 mAh.

Do not know that from this list, at least partially can get into the new Nexus 5, but it looks quite attractive.
