Google: More than half of the websites loaded via Chrome use HTTPS

Chrome article logo Google has released a new transparency report. Google has, among other things, pointed out that more than half of all websites loaded via Chrome are already using HTTPS for secure connections. At least this applies to the desktop version of Chrome. Evaluated by the length of stay, this corresponds to more than two-thirds of the time users are browsing the browser. Included in the evaluation were the versions of Chrome for Microsoft Windows, Apple Macs, Linux and, of course, Google’s in-house Chrome OS. Deficits regarding HTTPS still remain in the mobile area.
