Google announced in May that it was working with Twitter to display tweets in real-time search results on mobile devices. The tweets were visible on the mobile site and apps in a few of the company.

The close cooperation between the two US tech companies seems to have been successful, as Google rolls the functionality now also out to the desktop. It writes the Friday in a brief update on his old blog post.

For now, the real-time tweets can be seen only in English versions of the search engine. It is not yet known if or when Google functionality roll out to the Netherlands and Belgium.
