Google Play Books: Give books away

Books can be bought today in many ways, of course, naturally in the book trade – and in many stores digital. My observation is that most serious readers actually refer to their eBooks at Amazon, but Google also offers Google Books with a bookshop with integrated reader. If you know users of Google Play books, then you can now give them books. The menu now contains the point that books can be given away.

Here you have to enter the e-mail address of the buyer at the time of purchase, in addition you have a field for a personal message. The recipient can then accept or reject the book, in the latter case, you have the opportunity to present the book to another person. Poor solved: The possibility of the purchase is currently only available via the homepage, you go into new releases or in other categories, then the appropriate menu point is missing. Also in the detail view of a book is missing the gift option – that is so not well thought out.
