Google starts offering One-subscriptions for Drive storage service

Google has started offering One-season tickets for its Drive storage service in the United States. In addition to extra storage, users also receive a help desk that is available 24/7. Compared to current Drive subscriptions, this is a price reduction.

Google One is now available to consumers in the United States and has to come to more countries soon, says the search giant . When that happens and which countries that are, is still unknown, but the company said earlier that One will be available in the Netherlands later this year. Google announced One three months ago . Google has presumably renamed its paid Drive store to One to indicate that the storage also applies to other services such as photos.

In addition to extra storage, users also buy extra benefits, such as hotel deals via the search engine and credits in Google Play. More of these kinds of discounts follow, the search giant states. They should probably persuade more people to pay for the Google service. There will also be a family plan, with separate storage for several people on one account.

Nothing will change for business G Suite customers. Who now has a paid Drive account, will receive an email with a notice that an upgrade will come to One. That happens from Wednesday, says the American company.
