Google wants in 2017 with Project Wing drones deliver packages

Google is planning to deliver in 2017 packages in the United States using its own Project Wing drones. That has a director of the program announced today.

The British news agency Reuters makes mention of the decision of the Google driver, who is not mentioned by name. In October it was already clear that Google is making progress in terms of delivery by drones. Came when a video online in which the Project Wing-drone demonstrated in a test environment. It was stated that the drone speeds of 97 kilometers per hour can reach.

Amazon is working on a similar service that the company calls Amazon Prime Air. This must later be able to deliver a package within half an hour at the customer. The online store calls currently no time frame in which the drones can go airborne. The wait is Amazon, according to the legislation to be adapted to the new technologies. The same of course applies to Google. It is not immediately clear when the Netherlands and Belgium packages can be delivered by drones.
