Google wants to reward users who spend money in Play Store

with Play Points
There are references to Play Points in the Google Play Store apk. With this, Google seems to want to reward users of the download store who spend money. Savings points can be converted into balance for the Play Store.

Website 9to5google explains how Play Points works . The rewards program is not yet active, but from code in the apk it is clear that users get points for spending money in the Play Store. Specifically, that would be one point in the Japanese download store for every hundred yen that was spent. This is approximately 0.77 euros.

Users must explicitly indicate whether they want to participate and receive Play Points. People who register will be shown an icon of a medal in the Play Store and by spending more money, other medals will be unlocked. Achieving a higher level would again yield benefits.

In the Play Store apk you can see that the Account menu has been modified and that a Rewards section has been added. In it, users could redeem promotional codes and find special offers or free items. These rewards are probably related to the earned Play Points. Google itself has not disclosed anything about the Play Points yet. When the reward system becomes active, it is not yet known.
