GoPro Hero4 Black gets 240fps option for 720p video via firmware update




The Hero4 Black- Silver and cameras from GoPro get through a firmware update a number of new features. The most striking feature is a 720p video mode in which a speed of 240 frames per second images are to shoot.

According GoPro is the 240fps mode at 720p resolution especially suitable for making smooth slow-motion images with high-end model in the Hero4 series. Also new is a 60fps mode with a resolution of 2,7K. This video mode would in particular be suitable for capturing images of film.

For both Hero4 Black as the Hero4 Silver comes with the new firmware versions a time lapse mode available. Also new is a burst mode for taking pictures where thirty photos shot in a period of 6 seconds. With the also new automatic rotation mode, the camera images will be reversed automatically when the camera is mounted on the head.

Exclusively at Silver Hero4 Finally, a user can specify key scenes at the touch screen so that the subsequent assembly process can be simplified. GoPro wants the new firmware release next month, but mentions no precise date.
