A group of researchers from the Greek Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas, FORTH) have developed a rather interesting robot that not only swims exactly like an octopus, but is able to move along the bottom on their flexible limbs. Speed presented in the video of the prototype is half his body in the second. Robot developers are hoping to find him a useful application, however, understand that at the moment its effectiveness leaves much to be desired.
