Hacker steals data of 1.6 million accounts Clash of Kings Forum




A hacker has cracked the forum of the popular mobile game Clash of Kings and stolen data from nearly 1.6 million accounts. The forum turned on an outdated version of the vBulletin software.

When the stolen account information it comes to user names, IP addresses, device IDs and session tokens. The unsalted hashes of passwords are also in the hands of the attacker, according to ZDNet, that inspection was in the part of the data. The online database is put through LeakedSource, to give users the ability to discover whether their account is part of the hack.

The forum of the popular game of the Chinese company Elex turned a version of vBulletin in 2013, allowing the hacker to make use of vulnerabilities have since been found in the software. Elex apparently failed to update to the latest secure version. The company has not yet responded to the hack. It is the forum of Clash of Kings is now offline.
