Hackers after Avast also data captured by Eset

Following Avast is also the forum Eset cracked. Hackers made the login data of some 2,700 members loot. According to the security company, the infrastructure of the security products have not been on the attack in question.

Eset confirmed the hack itself on its forum. As far as known were malicious login details spoils of about 2,700 members. It was usernames, email addresses and encrypted passwords. The Slovak company stressed that no financial details are taken, and that the infrastructure of its products has not been in danger.

It is not clear exactly how the hackers were able to strike. The security company is the supplier of the forum software IP.Board launched an investigation. In the meantime, Eset recommends affected forum users to change the passwords. Immediately

The hack at Eset follows shortly after only known was that the forum of competitor Avast was also cracked. The hackers of the Czech company could Simple Machines reach the control panel of the open source forum software that one of the admins presumably elsewhere password used .
