Hackers steal data from 50,000 Uber drivers
Hackers have penetrated the computer systems of Uber and there have stolen data from about 50,000 drivers. The hack was discovered almost half a year ago, but only now coming out.
Uber brought the information about the hack itself out after an indictment filed in a US court. According to the company, approximately 50,000 drivers victim of the hack: the data theft were collected only name and license number, says Uber. The victims were from various states, but it is unclear whether any data has been stolen from drivers from outside the United States.
The hack was discovered last year on 17 September. From the research that came out showed that on May 14 last year, even though once hackers penetrated the computer systems. The taxi was not previously out with information about the hack, probably in order to complete the investigation.
Uber says that the affected drivers are informed. As yet there were no signs that the stolen data is misused. In addition, the company claims to have taken steps to improve the security of computer systems.Viewing:-200
