Heineken «Ignite»: beer bottle with light and Wi-Fi

I’m sure many, especially the Russian readers will agree that there is little which party is complete without strong drinks and beer , but in a friendly and pleasant company by itself can bring a lot of joy and fun. But this does not stop the modern technologies that make the joy and fun even brighter. For example, the company introduced the Heineken «Ignite» – a new and, at the same time, ordinary at first glance, a beer bottle. But only at first glance, because the new bottle uses lights and wireless sensors that illuminate the container during the toasts and let it glow in time with the music.

Development «Ignite» Heineken decided to take part in an experiment to enhance social interaction during consumption of intoxicating beverages through the use of modern technology. The task of the project, which gathered under the wing of several designers from various fields of industry, was the creation of a 10-week term conceptual bottles that could brighten up even further the already not boring (or boring) evening.

Each such “smart bottle” can be illuminated by bright light, thanks to the technology of 3D-printing and the availability of a special compartment on the bottom for mounting electronic components, which include eight of lights, 8-bit processor, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a battery and a wireless transceiver to the antenna. All this comes together in a small printed circuit board slightly larger than dvuhevrovoy coins. In this case, the effect is much more noticeable when the bottle is full.

Thanks to all these electronic components bottle can “behave” differently. Lightly tap them against each other and they will shine with the light, it will begin to empty bottle and begins to blink rapidly, place the bottle on the table and it goes out. Moreover, the light intensity can be controlled remotely and even synchronize glow to the beat playing at the moment tunes.

Party with bottles «Ignite» decided to spend within the concept of «Lounge of the Future», which is timed to coincide with Fashion Week in Milan. At the party brought only 200 of these hilarious “lighter” and, unfortunately, the company unveiled plans for their future release.

All well and good. Just do not forget that excessive consumption of beer can harm your health.
