Hi-Rez Studios makes entire Tribes franchise freely available




American Hi-Rez Studios has all Tribes shooter franchise, including the PlayStation 2, made available free of charge. There are six games in total. The seventh game Tribes: Ascend, was starting his release all free-to-play.

To distribute the games easily, Hi-Rez has a website set up where all the titles with screenshots, descriptions and download links can be found. The oldest game in the franchise, Earthsiege, comes from 1994 and the iso-file has a size of 48,1MB. Given the age of the games is only whether they all want to run on modern PCs and whether the multiplayer elements still functioning. Possibly, the lobby servers for the games are all offline, making it more difficult to find a server properly.
