Hobbyists make selfiecamera of TI calculator

A developer with a craft project a graphing calculator from Texas Instruments transformed into a selfiecamera. It was built with a GameBoy camera and Arduino board. Very practical use the camera seems however not to be.

A web page with information about the project appeared on Cemetech. The concept is called Articam and is based on graphic calculators from Texas Instruments, for example, the popular TI-83 or TI-84. For the camera was used M64282FP a sensor which is derived from the GameBoy Camera. The sensor is connected to an Arduino board. In order to subsequently connect the Arduino with the TI-calculator, use is made of the articl software library. This library was built for linking the calculator and the Arduino.

The mod ensures that it is possible to take a picture using the TI-calculator. These have a resolution of only 128 by 123 pixels in grayscale. As a result, the camera is not very practical. But who is interested in modifying his graphing calculator, which are used more frequently modprojecten, can follow the instructions on Cemetech and download the required firmware
