How Apple reacts to failure 66

Failures that industry analysts ascribe to Apple, citing falling iPhone demand and a nearly thirty percent capitalization reduction as examples, are not decisive for the company. Jonathan Ive, the chief designer of Apple, said this in 2015 in an interview with Neil Kybarth, responding to a question about the problems the company faced in the 90s. According to Quince, in Cupertino, they always preferred to pay attention to the quality of their products and, last of all, took care of the money they brought.

“There are such things as business and commerce, and we very clearly separate them,” said Ive. – It was completely obvious to us that if we do everything correctly, these concepts will become interconnected. After all, our job is not just to make money for Apple. Our job is to make only the best products we can. We believe that if we are competent enough, and [products] are good enough to attract a consumer, then in the end this will earn us money. ”

Trillion dollars is just numbers
Since then, it seems, nothing has changed. Even when Apple’s capitalization reached a trillion dollars, Tim Cook sent a letter to his subordinates urging them not to pay attention to the numbers. According to him, growing revenues are not a direct record, the result of the fact that Apple is moving in the right direction, putting first place its users and regularly mastering the most breakthrough technologies that distinguish the company’s products from the decisions of competitors.

Did Tim Cook scam when writing this letter? The answer is probably quite difficult, because it was under him that Apple experienced a rapid growth in financial performance, starting to earn huge money. Because of this, it may appear that Cook is interested in nothing but money, and earning them is his primary goal. But, perhaps, they were right with Ive when they said that income is only the result of a correct understanding of the market and the realization of consumer desires?
