At the presentation of iOS 11 in the framework of the WWDC 2017 conference, Apple mentioned such a feature as money transfers in the Messaging application using Apple Pay. We decided to figure out how this will work in the final version.

Sending money is realized using the Apple Pay application for iMessage – it can be selected in a special tab in the correspondence window with the user you want. After that, it remains to enter the amount, confirm payment using the Touch ID – and the money will “fly away” to the recipient.

On the recipient’s side, everything looks more interesting. As soon as he receives a notice of receipt of the transfer using Apple Pay, the money will first fall on a card called PayCash in Wallet. With its help you can pay for purchases, send transfers and withdraw funds to any bank account. Yes, you can not withdraw money directly to the card – you need an intermediary in the person of PayCash.

There is one interesting point – whether the recipient will pay a commission for withdrawing funds to another bank card. It is obvious that transfers on Apple Pay will be carried out without commission, but the further fate of money, when they have already reached the recipient, is still unclear. However, the fact that Apple’s payment service officially works in Russia , gives hope for the launch of translations immediately after the release of iOS 11.
