How to Send Text Messages with Amazon Smart Assistant Alexa

Users of the Android system can send text messages with the smart Amazon Alexa and here’s how to do it.

The beginning of Android users must adjust the text messaging settings with Alexa by:

Download and then open the Amazon Alexa application .
Open the Conversations tab.
If you have the latest app update, you’ll see a window that tells you how text messages work.
Click on the profile.
If you do not see the above, you can access your profile by clicking the Contacts icon at the top right of the screen next to the Build button, then selecting your profile at the top of your contact lists.
Under the Permissions section, enable the option to send text messages.
Press OK to continue.
Click the Allow button to give Alexa access to view and send text messages.

This feature allows you to send text messages only, not to send messages to groups or send multimedia messages.

To send a message with Alexa Smart Assistant, you can say things like:

Alexa, send a text message.
Alexa, send a text message to “The name of the person you want to send the message to.”
