HP announces thin 13 Spectre laptop as Macbook competitor

HP has shown its new thinnest laptop, the Spectre 13. The laptop has a 13.3 “screen with full HD resolution and is 10,4mm thick. With the according to HP’s thinnest notebook on the market, the company mainly battle engage with the Macbook from Apple.

The Spectre has an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor Skylake generation and a PCIe-SSD to 512GB. Furthermore, the laptop up to 8GB of RAM and stereo speakers Bang & Olufsen. The laptop is equipped with three USB Type-C ports, two with thunderbolt. The thin laptop weighs 1.1kg and has a coating of bright brass. The thin light laptop HP wants to compete with the Apple Macbooks, as revealed by a conversation between HP and The Wall Street Journal.

The battery of the laptop is divided into two parts, but HP promises that it delivers the same power as a single battery. The laptop would have to go 9.5 hours on one charge. The laptop is expected only in July in the Netherlands for an undisclosed price. In the United States, the Spectre in May available with prices starting at $ 1169.99.

The standard HP Envy 15 comes with up to an i7 processor with an option for Iris Graphics. Furthermore, the model has 16GB of memory, up to 1TB HDD and 512GB SSD. In the US there is also a version with a 17.3 inch screen.
