HP Workstation shows Ultrabooks with a thickness of 21mm




HP has two new mobile workstations ZBook announced. The ZBook 14 and 15h, respectively, a 14 “- and a 15.6” screen are about 21mm thick and weigh between 1.7 and 2 pounds. The laptops are Intel Broadwell CPUs FirePro and Radeon GPU’s feature.

The mobile workstation of the second generation are available in various configurations and used with up to 16GB ram and 1,25TB storage memory equipped. In terms of storage, there include the ability to choose an HP Z Turbo Drive, or PCI-E SSD,.

The ZBook 14 with anti reflective ’14 “screen is optional touchscreen and a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The processor is an Intel Core i5-5200U minimum and maximum Core i7-5600U. Both are efficient Broadwell -CPU’s where workstations usually more powerful, less efficient processors are provided. The video card is an AMD FirePro M4150 with 1GB GDDR5. The ZBook is 21mm thick and has a starting weight of 1.71 pounds.

HP ZBook 14 15h

The ZBook 15h has similar specifications, but does not have the touchscreen option and the video card is a slightly more powerful AMD FirePro M4170. This so-called Workstation Ultrabook is 21,42mm thick and weighs 1.91 pounds at its simplest configuration.

Both laptops are equipped with business features as a connection for a docking station, a smartcard reader and a TPM chip. The ZBook 14 and 15U workstations are available for January 1249 and $ 1199 respectively, which are in Europe including VAT may translate into prices of about 1265 and 1215 euros.

Update, 10:45: HP Netherlands reports that the ZBooks also be available in the UK from January, for a starting price of $ 1299.
