HTC has made a loss in a row for the third quarter. Turnover amounted to 25.7 billion Taiwan dollars, the loss amounts to 3.4 billion Taiwan dollars. Compared to the previous two quarters makes the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer less loss.

Although HTC quarterly figures are not rosy, notify the manufacturer that the Desire smartphones ‘good momentum’ had during the holidays and the HTC One A9 ‘well received’ was in Asia, the United States and Europe. However, the manufacturer is not known numbers, so whether HTC actually has been successful with its smartphones is not substantiate. The turnover shows a slight increase compared to the previous quarter, but is almost halved compared to a year ago.

In the fourth quarter, HTC posted sales of 25.7 billion Taiwan dollars, converted about 700 million euros. The net loss amounted to 3.4 billion Taiwan dollars, converted approximately 93 million euros. The operating loss amounted to 4.1 billion Taiwan dollars, converted 112 million euros. The loss is slightly lower than in the previous two quarters, but HTC did a year ago made a minimal profit. HTC does not disclose how many smartphones delivers the company, but according to analysts at Juniper Research, the Taiwanese manufacturer is less than three million copies shipped in the fourth quarter.

HTC did not convince in 2015 with its smartphones. The One M9 had insufficient offer compared to its predecessors and the HTC One A9 turned out to be a moderate midranger for a premium price. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer seems himself no future to see in its smartphones. In January Director Cher Wang said that the virtual reality headset Vive important for the company. HTC brings Vive in April on the market.
