HTC brings VR glasses Vive in April in the Netherlands and Belgium for 899 euros
HTC brings his VR goggles Vive, who made it with Steam developer Valve, on April 5 in the Netherlands and Belgium. This was announced by the manufacturer. The Taiwanese company is asking 899 euros for his VR goggles, in a package that included, among other controllers.
899 euro is the Vive 200 euros more expensive than major competitor Oculus Rift, which in January in advance went for 699 euros. The HTC Vive, however, provided more accessories. Vive Consumer Edition includes the headset, two wireless controllers, a Vive Link Box, earplugs and two Vive base stations. The cheaper Oculus Rift comes without special VR controllers.
The pre-orders for the device starting Monday. Vive not be used without a PC. HTC recommends a system with Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 to. These are similar system as Oculus Rift presents its. It is also possible to connect smartphones to the headset, allowing users to convert to conduct conversations without the glasses.
