HTC sales rose slightly for the first time since 2014




HTC has in the past quarter reported revenues that is four percent higher than the same quarter last year. It is the first time that the Taiwanese manufacturer since the end of 2014, increasing sales. The company was still losing, though that’s less than half of last year.

In the quarter ended September 30, HTC posted sales of 22.2 billion Taiwan dollars. Which amounts to approximately 644 million euros. The manufacturer is not known how many copies of its products are sold, but in his own words is doing well selling the HTC Vive. Earlier in October, HTC said it found that “more than 140,000 copies” sold by the VR goggles.

To what extent has helped sales of HTC 10 smartphone sales figures, is not clear. The manufacturer speaks of “good momentum” in the market for smartphones. HTC produces on behalf of Google Pixel smartphones, but financial details of the deal are not known.

As in the past five quarters booked HTC loss. 1.8 billion Taiwan dollar is losing much lower than in recent quarters. A year ago the loss was more than 2.7 times higher. According to him, has also contributed to improved cost figures.
