HTC Vive Business Edition announced
HTC has announced the Vive Business Edition. These are the same VR goggles as the consumer version of Vive, but HTC gives an additional charge extra support and companies can buy more than one pair of glasses.
According to HTC, the Vive Business Edition, or Vive BE, for individuals and organizations who want additional services for business and commercial environments. In practice it for a commercial license, a dedicated helpdesk and 12 months warranty. In addition, institutions have the option to buy ‘large quantities’ VR systems, where consumers up to now officially is limited to one copy.
The Vive Business Edition hardware is identical to that of the consumers’ demand. The box contains the headset, two controllers, two base stations, a 3-in-1 cable and four face cushions. For the BE-version HTC will add an additional cost 1080 euros compared to 899 euros for the consumer system. In a few weeks off the supply of Vive BE, but initially only in the US, UK, Germany and France.
