HTC Vive-lightsaber game Trials of Tatooine appear on July 18 for free on Steam




The lightsaber game Trials of Tatooine on July 18 freely available for the HTC Vive owners. The short game players can assume the role of a Padawan, armed with a lightsaber. The opponents are Stormtroopers and TIE fighters.

Developer Ilmxlab makes the news announced during a panel at the Star Wars Celebration Europe in London. In addition, it publishes a notice on the official Star Wars website. The game is playable but is referred to as an “experiment”, which strongly suggests that the game will not last long. Developers are not aware of compatiblity with the Oculus Rift. This is most likely because the headset still does not have the necessary controllers.

Ilmxlab also announces that David Goyer has taken a writer to several famous superhero movies, in the arm for another virtual reality project. It is intended that Goyer along with the studio setting up a VR experience where the famous Darth Vader plays a major role. The VR-product will have a certain level of interactivity, but there also takes place a pre-deposited story off for the user.

Finally published on the Panel that the fourth and final DLC pack for Star Wars: Rogue contains One movie: Battlefront released in December, locations and characters from the upcoming Star Wars. Furthermore, the third DLC pack called Death Star, a new teaser got.
