Huawei presents MateBook 13 with 3: 2 screen and nfc

Huawei has announced the MateBook 13 in China, a laptop with a 13.3 “screen with a 3: 2 ratio and a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels The laptop is a slightly smaller and probably cheaper version of the MateBook Pro X.

The screen has edges that are 4.4mm thin on the sides and the panel could display 100 percent of the srgb color space, with a maximum brightness of 300cd / m 2 . The laptop itself is 14.9mm thick at its thinnest point and weighs 1.28kg.

Huawei provides the Matebook 13 from nfc, writes GizmoChina . The nfc chip is located on the right of the touchpad and is meant to easily transfer files from a smartphone. Via nfc a connection is set up and Huawei probably supplies its own software for file transfer. Furthermore, the laptop has a fingerprint scanner, which is integrated in the on / off button.

In the MateBook 13 there is a Core i5-8265U with Intel UHD 620-gpu, or a Core i7-8565U combined with a Nvidia MX150-gpu. Both variants have 8GB ram, a 256GB ssd and a 42Wh battery. There is a usb-c connection on both sides and the laptop has a 3.5mm jack.

In many ways the MateBook 13 looks like the Huawei MateBook X Pro. The laptop has a 13.9 “screen with a 3: 2 ratio, but a higher resolution of 3000×2000 pixels and a higher maximum brightness of 500cd / m 2 , as shown in a Tweakers review .

Huawei has announced the MateBook 13 in China and will deliver the laptop from December onwards. Whether and when the model also comes to the Benelux is not yet known. It is also not clear what the laptop will cost. Since September, Huawei has already supplied its MateBook X Pro and MateBook D in the Benelux.
