Huawei should suit against T-Mobile 4G because of violating patents

Huawei has filed suit against the US branch of T-Mobile for violating patents related to 4G network technology. The Chinese company wants to fight the conlict in court after failed attempts to negotiate.

The Wall Street Journal reported the indictment on the basis of information provided by Huawei itself. The conflict with T-Mobile comes to patents describe technology for 4G networks and as “key technology” are labeled and therefore should be released under certain conditions to companies that want licenses. Such patents should be released under the FRAND conditions.

T-Mobile and Huawei have attempted to reach agreement on the removal of licenses for patented 4G technology. As the negotiations failed Huawei wants to enforce through the US court fees. T-Mobile declined to comment on the reports.

the two companies had also been a legal conflict in 2014. Then it was T-Mobile who filed a lawsuit against Huawei, also for alleged patent violations. The judge has yet to rule on this matter. Huawei itself filed this week in China’s suit against Samsung, again because of patents.
