Huawei unveiled two tablet, smartphone, fitness tracker and mobile router
Huawei has decided not to waste time and showcased the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona a number of new mobile devices with support for 4G LTE. In general, the Chinese manufacturer has announced 5 gadgets: compact tablet MediaPad X1 and M1, smartphone Ascend G6, fitness tracker TalkBand B1 and mobile router Huawei E5786. We now consider each of the devices individually.
Huawei came late to the tablet market, but with hope. Attract the attention of buyers will be 8-inch MediaPad M1 and 7-inch MediaPad X1.
X1 – the most expensive of the two above-mentioned gadgets. It can be seen as fablet than a tablet computer. Android-powered device has a slot for a SIM-card that you can use it to make calls and send text messages. In fact, the 4G LTE module makes it a full-fledged smartphone.
X1 has a display of 1280 x 920 pixels with a density of 323ppi, quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz, 16 GB of internal memory and slot for MicroSD. According to Huawei, the battery capacity 5000 mAh enough to provide a device powered for longer than three days at “normal use”; standby tablet will last about 500 hours. No less impressive of his cell, there are two 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front.
Huawei MediaPad М1
Larger and less expensive M1 equipped with the same processor module 4G, but otherwise inferior to his fellow man. In particular, he has a low-power battery (4800 mAh), low screen resolution (1280 x 800 pixels – modest by today’s standards) and less advanced camera (rear – 5 megapixels, front – 1 megapixel).
Run M1 in versions 8 and 16 GB (memory can be increased via MicroSD slot with a margin of 32 GB) is scheduled for May. X1, in turn, will go on sale in the second half of this year. M1 will cost around 299 euros (411 dollars), and X1 – 399 euros (548 dollars).
Huawei, which last year was put on the market about 50 million smartphones, today introduced Ascend G6-based operating system Android.
Huawei Ascend G6
4.5-inch device is equipped with a display at 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2-gigahertz processor in four core, battery capacity of 2000 mAh, internal storage of 8 GB MicroSD-slot expansion, as well as front and rear cameras on 5 and 8 megapixels, respectively.
Externally Ascend G6 is very similar to Ascend P6, but noticeably thinner than its predecessor (7.9 millimeters versus 6.2 mm). The new smartphone comes with a polished metal back instead of rubberized plastic. Design changes are likely to be offset by lower unit costs, which have yet to learn. According to Huawei, Ascend G6 go on sale in April.
Huawei TalkBand B1
Perhaps, TalkBand B1 was the most curious gadget represented Huawei in Barcelona. As with similar devices from other manufacturers, it is worn on the wrist and monitors the health of its users, in particular counts steps, calories burned and distance traveled.
TalkBand B1 also has the function of monitoring of sleep – this means that the tracker monitors physical activity during sleep and can wake him up when immersed in a light slumber. But this is not the most amazing feature TalkBand B1. The gadget is equipped with a removable 1.4-inch display, which can serve as a headset to NFC-compatible phone.
Huawei notes that in normal use TalkBand B1 will run on a single battery (90 mAh) of not less than six days. Next week fitness tracker will go on sale in China. In Japan, Russia, Western Europe and the Middle East, it will appear in the first quarter. Cost TalkBand B1 is already known – 99 euros (about $ 136).
The list of new Huawei closes the “fastest in the world” mobile Wi-Fi (Mi-Fi) router Huawei E5786. The device supports data transfer rates up to 300 Mbit / s line “up” and up to 100 Mbit / s line “down.” Naturally, to work at such speeds require good channel.
E5786 with dual band antenna (Wi-Fi 802.11ac) supports simultaneous wireless connection up to 10 devices. The battery capacity of 3000 mAh battery provides about 10 hours of battery life. The availability of reverse charging means you can recharge energy smartphone and other mobile devices. Running Huawei E5786 sale is scheduled for the second half of 2014.
