If you are the owner of Android-based device, Google knows your password on Wi-Fi

According to the published blog portal Computerworld article authored by Michael Horowitz, a specialist in computer security, Google known Wi-Fi-passwords of all owners of Android-devices. And they, as shown by a recent report from market research firm IDC, more than a billion.

The agency points out that in the second quarter of this year, the market was supplied 187 smartphones running the operating system Android. The total number of smartphones are now more than 748 million pieces. Add here and tablets, which are not specified in the report, and you get a figure of more than a billion devices based on the operating system from Google .

Michael Horowitz writes in his article that the information about your Wi-Fi-passwords stored on your Android-powered devices in a way that Google can optionally easily find a particular password belonging to a particular person.

All this may eventually lead to a breach of privacy of all owners of Android-devices, as well as to mean that at the request of the Government, Google will be required to provide him with these passwords. The most innocuous in this situation, someone else sees an opportunity to get to your password and thus gain access to your Wi-Fi-network.
