IFA 2013: Lenovo presents its new ultrabook ThinkPad T, X and S series




For the IFA 2013 in Berlin, there are new from the business division to Lenovo, several different series have been renewed. The ThinkPad T440s, T440 and X240 Ultrabooks are thinner and lighter than its predecessor, 20 percent flatter form factors, a large selection panel and an up to 45 percent larger trackpad with improved click functionality that also supports Windows 8 gestures. The individual units are each in different versions.

Both models come with a local memory of up to one terabyte, or solid-state drives (SSD) and the latest generation of 4G WiFi and optional WWAN. The good battery life (with Power Bridge technology up to 17 hours, this can be in operation, the respective batteries are used) in a combination of just 21 millimeters width makes the T-Series is the ideal mobile companion.

The ThinkPad T440s is equipped with a Full HD touch display, while the T440 comes with a 14-inch HD + display with optional touch option. To extend security in the T440 optional integrated smart card reader provides.

ThinkPad X240:

With less than three pounds in weight and 20.3 mm thin, the ThinkPad X240 is an ultra portable device. It can be equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor, up to the fourth generation and offers up to a terabyte of storage.

An HD display in 12.5 inch size (either 720p or 1080p resolution) with touch option, the backlit ThinkPad precision keyboard and full interface for a dongle for full connectivity round out the X240 as thin and light ultrabook. The standard interfaces are also here: Webcam, VGA, HDMI, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, LAN, and a card reader.

The ThinkPad S Series:


The new ThinkPad S440 and S540 have rounded corners and an ultra-thin screen. The S series comes with Intel Core processor, the fourth generation, with optional anti-glare Full HD touch display and a discrete graphics card. The two new S-series ThinkPads can with just a single cable via the ThinkPad OneLink-dock during the loading process video streams, connect via additional USB 3.0 ports Lenovo OneLink technology and Gigabit Ethernet.

As mentioned, these are the “From” prices for the small versions. More processing power, RAM, and therefore more cost-Co 😉
