Improve situation on roads of the earth to help space robots





In an attempt to find a solution that would make driving safer and more efficient, Ford has decided to turn toward the space robots. Interestingly, the car giant has signed a three-year agreement with the Department of Telematics of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, with whom they will investigate communication systems for space robots, and further promote the development of new technology that will produce cars that can both directly and through the Internet to transmit each other information.

Its essence lies in the creation of future vehicles that could directly transfer information not only with each other but united by a network of other infrastructure: at home, street lights, traffic lights, cloud servers, and any other systems that allow drivers and emergency services to get to your destination and almost completely eliminate the risk to get into an accident while.

The problem is how to make this system work efficiently. And to solve more serious question – what if one of the parts of the network will break down at the worst possible moment. Ford is an example of such a situation results in the failure of the cloud server, which provides drivers with information on the situation on the road by which they move. If the cloud server “lie”, the “lie” the whole network and all the drivers will not be able to get the right information. Resolving this issue Ford sees a greater decentralization and the establishment of a kind of automotive internet.
