Increase in number of mobile Proximus subscribers compensates departure prepaid not




Proximus added 34,000 mobile subscribers in the quarter, but did leave 38,000 prepaid users. The provider managed to sell more TV and internet subscriptions. This growth, combined with a cost reduction gave the company a profit increase.

Proximus logo HQ Although Proximus 34,000 more mobile subscriptions delivered in the last quarter, the number of prepaid customers decreased by 38,000. Because Proximus less roaming deserves since lowering roaming tariffs in April, revenue from mobile decreased by 1.6 percent. The number of fixed line customers declined firm, with 27,000 to 2.7 million. The growth in the number of TV subscribers amounted to 18,000, which the provider has 1.8 million TV customers.
