IndieGoGo close ZX Spectrum Vega + waste collection facility as supply fails

Indie Gogo has put stop the campaign for the handheld retro ZX Spectrum Vega +. The reason is that the company promise not comply deliver to ascertain February 20 and not clearly communicates to people who support the campaign what is going on.

The company behind the ZX Spectrum + Vega, Retro Computers, suggested there are sure to be in December that the deadline of February 2017 would be met, but according to the BBC, there is no Vega + received backers. In recent weeks expressed people who financed the campaign their dissatisfaction with the lack of supply and the refusal of retro computers to respond to questions. The device should be available for 100 pounds, converted and VAT which comes out at 141 euros.

Indie Gogo decided the campaign stop putting so Retro Computers can get more money promised. The handheld maker asked the BBC to bring anything out about the problems since employees would be threatened. Yet publish would put them at risk and also an investigation of the police to frustrate the threats, the company said, which also stated that there are factual errors in the article. What is wrong with the BBC report the company made unclear.

Retro Computers Limited had converted more than 588,000 euros collected through IndieGoGo. The project had in March last year its goal of 115,000 euros converted achieved within two days. Initially released handheld in October, but the company decided to postpone by hardware problems including the robustness of the buttons.

The creator of the original ZX Spectrum, Clive Sinclair, gave his approval to the project and was involved in the development. The handheld is focused on gaming, in addition to a built-in LCD with resolution of 256×192 pixels includes an SD card reader and comes with one thousand games. The design is by the hand of the man who is also the original zx80, ZX81 and ZX Spectrum has been designed.
