ING customers can start using Android phone for contactless payments




The bank ING is for customers that have a smartphone with Android 4.4 or higher and able to make NFC contactless payments in shops. For contactless payments, the users need only the appropriate app from the bank.

That app is called ING Mobile Payment, so let the bank know . The app coming later this summer for all customers, but when it actually happens is unknown. The app allows customers of the bank to pay all payment terminals which support contactless checkout. ING provided previously debit cards NFC for that reason.

It is the first implementation of reckoning with the phone can be used millions of Dutch. ING Bank is thus include Apple, which has its payment service Pay capitalized in the United States, but has no date named for a Dutch release.

ING had been working on mobile payment, but the test at first only worked with some older models of Samsung. For purchases to 25 euros can be paid either with or without PIN. At higher amounts, require a PIN. New users need to activate the app with a tan code on any device they use. If other banks follow their implementation of mobile payments, is still unknown.
