Image sharing company Instagram, owned by Facebook, announced on Thursday that it will provide a new feature for its users to respond to stories via hidden images and video messages in an effort to drive more users to use the feature.

These messages can be embellished with animated object filters or sent as short videos, showing to users in your inbox by clicking on the new camera icon next to the Reply to text box while watching a story to send a response in the form of an image or video .

The user’s friends see their responses along with a thumbnail of their original response. Similar to other messages sent directly, the messages do not stay forever and friends are alerted if the user takes a picture of the screen.

Instagram says that this new feature is a way to provide more fun and fun when responding to friends, and also sees it as a new way to attract more users at the expense of Snape Chat.

The service is constantly boasting about the number of users of the stories feature of more than 250 million users since the last official figure published compared to the total number of users of more than 700 million users, talking less about the feature of direct messages disappeared in November last .

The platform has a good opportunity to change a lot of things by combining direct messages with storytelling, providing users with the ability to use all the creative tools in the Instagram camera including filters, recoil, rewind and posters to show the users’ original sense of what they are sharing.

Text responses allow stories to increase interactivity and fun. It can also be seen as an instant chat feature with friends, no matter where they are. However, today’s update makes the conversations more visual. The responses include a special sticker for the story itself, so the user can resize as desired.

The story-and-video answer feature is now available for users of the Instagram version 10.28 on Android and iOS mobile operating systems.
