Instead of a smartphone with a flexible display LG will release a tablet

LG plans to return to the production of tablets. About the future plans of South Korean giant told the first person of the company.

Vice President of LG mobile lines in Europe Wong Kim made it clear that his company plans to release a new smartphone that will not have anything to do with the operating system Android. Today there is such a market situation in which there are only two major players – Apple and Google. It is these two, according to Kim, control most of the smartphone market.

Most likely, LG will choose a platform Firefox OS. The Korean company has agreed a partnership with Mozilla immediately after the announcement of the new mobile operating system.

Even greater interest was the news that this year, LG has no plans to release a smartphone with a flexible 5-inch screen Full HD OLED, which was presented last week at one of the themed exhibitions. Apparently, the technology is still buggy to launch it to the masses. So talk of leaving unbreakable smartphone Optimus G2 are still rumors.

From all this it is clear that LG plans to increase its mobile capacity, increase spending on marketing and advertising. This year may be a turning point for the company in terms of new product releases. New items should be expected in late 2013 – early 2014.
