Intel expects to introduce 10nm processors beginning in 2017

Intel is expected to start in 2017 with the first 10nm processors, as was a general manager of the company recently announced. Thus there seems to be postponed: Intel previously talked about a release in 2016.

“We have consistently followed Moore’s Law and this has been the core of our innovation for the last 40 years,” said Taha Khalifa, general manager of Intel for the regions of Middle East and North Africa recently told Gulf News. “The 10nm chips are expected to be introduced in early 2017,” he said then.

Intel will the 10nm-process work for the Cannon Lake-generation processors. Cannon Lake is the successor of Skylake, the chip generation to appear in the second half of 2015. Last September stated that Intel still 10nm production is on track and that Cannon Lake in 2016 went on to appear, but the group seems still experiencing delays in the development process
