Intel has in its past financial year, a revenue decline of 8 percent realized on the sale of client processors, but more high-end chips than sold. Meanwhile, more than half of the chips produced on 14nm.

Intel Core i7-4790 Boxed Annual sales of Intel’s Client Computing Group, the component for desktop and laptop processors, achieved in 2015 a turnover of $ 32.2 billion, converted 29.6 billion. That was 8 percent lower than in 2014 and sales fell in the fourth quarter compared to the previous year by 3 percent to 8.8 billion dollars. Intel has suffered from declining PC sales but this is somewhat offset by higher sales of high-endproducten, can be seen from the notes to the annual and quarterly figures.

“In the year made high-end Core i7 processors and our K-products for gaming for records in terms of volume,” said Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel. The average price of sold chips would end in 2015 thus 17 percent higher than the end of 2014. Also in November half of processors delivered a 14nm chip and the Broadwell- Skylake generation. This year, a third-generation chip produced by Intel expected 14nm and five years with its machines to be able to forward, instead of the usual four years.

Intel has been trying for years to become less dependent on its sales of PC chips. The Data Center Group is another important source of income and this division managed to achieve 11 percent more revenue compared to 2014: 16 billion dollars. Intel expects in the future many of the Internet of Things Group and here sales rose 7 percent to $ 2.3 billion. Revenues from software declined by 2 percent, but with memory sales Intel was able to achieve a sales increase of 21 percent.

Eventually dropped the annual turnover of Intel by 1 percent to 55.4 billion dollars and profits by 2 percent to 11.4 billion dollars. Sales in the last quarter it increased by 1 percent, but the quarterly profit fell 1 percent to $ 3.6 billion.
