Intel’s revenue from desktop CPUs fell by sixteen percent




The decline in sales of desktop processors from Intel continued the first quarter of this year and sales of laptop processors increased by only 3 percent. On the other hand, the server division of the company was doing a lot better, with 19 percent more sales than a year earlier.

The decrease in the year since this existing Client Computing Group, a merger of the PC Client Group and the Mobile and Communications Group, is attributable mainly to desktop processors.
