Internal Huawei slides show features of Mate 20 smartphones

An Israeli site has published internal slides from Huawei with the main functions of the Mate 20 smartphones. The slides include the 3d face scanner, fast charge function and a smaller type of memory card.

That smaller SD card is called NanoSD and is smaller than a microsd card, says Girafa on the basis of the slides. There is as yet no standard with the name NanoSD. Huawei would provide a card that fits into the device with Mate 20 phones, reports the site.

The Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 have the code names Hima and Laya and the slides show a mountain of information about the smartphones. For example, the Mate 20 Pro has a 4200mAh battery, which can charge users for 70 percent in half an hour. This is probably possible because the battery has several cells, which then support each rapid charge. The Mate 20 has a 4000mAh battery.

Both models have three cameras according to the slides: a wide-angle lens, a regular lens and a telephoto lens. Exact specs are not listed, but according to Girafa, the Mate 20 Pro has the slightly better cameras. The setup differs from the P10 Pro, which has a regular lens, telephoto lens and regular lens with monochrome sensor.

Biometric authentication works via a fingerprint scanner behind the screen, a 3D face scanner or ‘bone voice id’. It is still unknown how exactly that works and how safe it is. Huawei has previously said that it will present the Mate 20 phones on October 16th. The aircraft have a Kirin 980-soc, a soc that makes TSMC at 7nm.

Besides the phones, Huawei also comes with a watch with the codename Fortuna. It offers a battery life of seven days when the screen is always on and fourteen days without the screen activated, but with all functions active.
