Internet for part customers of XS4ALL, T-Mobile and KPN offline update

For about 2 hours in the night from Saturday to Sunday, several internet providers have a malfunction. In any case T-Mobile, XS4ALL, and KPN are affected, according to reports from users. The providers are still getting a grip on the case.

Through a clear simultaneous increase in reports can be seen at the above providers. Opposite the NIS , an XS4ALL spokesperson states that the problem should be looked for ‘higher up’, with which he would target the KPN network that the provider uses. KPN spokesperson Ward Snijders tells Tweakers that the telco is still working on the case. At XS4ALL, the problem would affect 35,000 customers and at T-Mobile 9000.

Last night, around the time the disturbance started, was the transition from daylight saving time to winter time. As is well known, differences in times between systems can easily cause problems, although at present it is unclear whether this is the cause of these problems.

This article is updated when more information is published.

Update, 15:00: Users and providers on the KPN network have already reported in the past hour that the problem is behind us and KPN confirms that now. No further details are known about the cause of the problem.
