Invented an effective weapon against suicide bombers

Suicide bombers are a great threat to the peace of society. Unfortunately, incidents of suicide attacks, bomb explodes on itself, more frequent. Suffice it to recall the bombings in Iraq last week, which claimed the lives of several dozen people. To prevent such incidents, the researchers of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) have developed an electromagnetic cannon capable of stopping a car bomber and block the bombs by remote control. Currently, the new weapon is being tested in a secret laboratory in Norway.

The apparatus which can be installed in the rear of the vehicle produces a powerful electromagnetic pulse which knocks the electronic systems on board any vehicle, causing it to stop.

This is a fairly simple and safe. There is no risk of death. The device does not kill and does no harm to anyone, including the car – says Odd Harry Arnesen, a senior researcher at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (Norwegian Defence Research Establishment).

The system is not just for cars. It might be enough to stop the boat in the middle of the ocean and destroy the drone. But the most important thing – the device can cause radio interference in the work of a remote-controlled bomb.

How it works is shown in the video below.

Technical details of the weapons are kept secret, but the principle of operation is known: the device generates a sufficient amount of energy, which is then routed to the right place. Despite its simple appearance (in science fiction films beam guns look beautiful), the device shows high efficiency. The most important thing is that he does his business.

And do not expect to buy electromagnetic gun in the store. Such devices are permitted only to law enforcement agencies and the military.

This summer, the U.S. detained two radically-minded citizens for trying to create a deadly ray guns .
