iOS 8.2 beta 4 vs iOS 8.1.2: comparison of performance on iPhone 4s and iPhone 5s [video]




On Tuesday, the release of the fourth beta iOS 8.2 with built-in app companion to Apple Watch. User YouTube-channel Kabriolett decided to compare the performance of the new issue with the current firmware iOS 8.1.2. Just say that the experiment did not reveal a clear leader – a fresh update, even in the test version, works much the same as the current release.


iOS 8.2 beta 4 came out almost a month after iOS 8.2 beta 3 and the emergence of publicly available update iOS 8.1.2 . It supports application development tools for Apple Watch and is designed to prepare the software updates for compatibility with smart watches.

Kabriolett test the fourth beta version of iOS 8.2 twice: at the minimum supported models of iPhone 4s and iPhone 5s. Placing the next two phones – with iOS 8.1.2 and iOS 8.2 beta 4, he alternately and the pre-installed third-party applications and compared the speed. During testing, open the chamber, Maps, Settings, App Store, Weather, YouTube, Facebook, Music, and others.

During the experiment, it was found out that the fourth beta of iOS 8.2 can not boast the same rate as the previous test release. iOS 8.2 beta 3, we recall, worked significantly faster iOS 8.1.2. Maybe it’s the additional components: a fourth beta of new opportunities for interaction with Apple Watch.
