Find a Question:
iPhone 5C outselling Galaxy S4, HTC One and Co
The iPhone 5C is ridiculed by many to be overpriced cheap smartphone, even the new 8 GB version of the device caused a mockery because they are “no one needs” and this “too expensive” are. How successful the iPhone 5C really is, has so far can be difficult to say. Apple itself does not mention any figures, break down the sales by individual iPhone models. Luckily, there are there are the mobile service providers that can be tracked. For the U.S. are ahead of such lists that show the top sales in smartphones. The big surprise: The iPhone 5C sold at 2 of the 4 providers better than any other Android device, in 2 of the 4 provider, it is located behind the Galaxy S4. This is true at least for the months of September, October and November 2013.
To speak of a flop, therefore, would be somewhat exaggerated. However, it would also be an exaggeration to take the numbers of providers as a direct indication of the success, after all these count only sales with a contract. This is done in the USA is still the most common method to come to a mobile terminal, but not the only one. Also have to consider that Apple in the U.S. has a enormous market share. Almost half of the market is in the hands Apples.
While I have never said that the iPhone 5C is a flop, I find this position still a bit surprising. Shows well that Apple had the right instinct, while the tech press (including all sizes) with their assessments was completely wrong and Apple’s marketing has worked wonderfully. Or should we already be a flop if you just stand at No. 2 on the Billboard charts?
Since the iPhone 5C just does not fit into the rail mid-range smartphone, but is basically a premium wolf in sheep’s clothing plastic, it may seem mitpspielen in the premium sale league. Maybe Apple is this year once so gracious and called single numbers. Too low will love these for both iPhone 5C, as well as for iPhone 5S not be.
