Find a Question:
iPhone 5c to the iPhone 6 was the best selling smartphone in the UK
Smartphone iPhone 5c, which is often referred to in the media product failure, was the most selling phone in the UK in the period from June to August 2014, the report suggests research firm Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.
“Historically, that a month before the release of the new iPhone, we see a drop in the share of Apple, as many consumers postpone the purchase of” apple “smartphone. But this time, the company was able to smooth out this fall – in August, the share decreased by only 1.6% compared to July of this year. Last year, the decline was twice as much.
This is partly due to the advent of iPhone 5c, which attracts fewer geeks, buyers of this model is less than protrude into the technical details and do not wait for iPhone 6. In August iPhone 5c has become the most popular phone in the UK, capturing 8.9% of the mobile market. The device has outstripped sales flagship iPhone 5s and Samsung Galaxy S5, the share of which amounted to 7.6% and 6% respectively. ”
According to industry analysts Kantar, the number of iPhone users in the UK has 13.3 million people, almost one in three (4 million) is planning to purchase a new version of the smartphone Apple.
Earlier, analysts Seeking Alpha reported that the iPhone 5c outstripped sales all Android-flagship, as well as smartphones on Windows Phone and BlackBerry. Plastic model was successful even the main flagship device in the ecosystem Samsung – Galaxy.
And although the iPhone 5c really is not so popular as iPhone 5s, it can hardly be called a “failure” product.
