Find a Question:
Japan held the first public testing maglev
In the past year we have already talked about a little bit of the first tests of high-speed trains on magnetic levitation (maglev) called L-Zero. Since that time, the Japanese engineers have something finalized and last week held the first public test maglev on a special track.
During the tests, the train easily overclocked to a speed of 500 km / h on the track length of 42.8 kilometers, according to the resource globalconreview. In addition, it is reported that this speed is not the maximum for high-speed trains.
It is worth noting that up to speed 160 km / h train accelerates moving on rails on conventional wheels. After reaching this speed in the work enters the maglev system that accelerates the train to the covenant of 500 km / h.
It is reported that currently the fastest train in Japan can reach speeds of 320 km / h. Thus, the new maglev can go more than one and a half times faster than conventional high-speed train.
In November, the engineers plan to conduct the first test the transport of persons on high-speed train. In turn, the full launch maglev is planned in 2027. It will run between Tokyo and Nagoya, the distance between them is 286 kilometers, while on the train track will have 4 stations.Viewing:-146
