Find a Question:
Just Eat and Thuisbezorgd reduce transaction orders after action ACM
A number of Web services, including Just Eat and Thuisbezorgd, have reduced transaction costs for online orders. That happened after supervisor ACM companies indicated that they too costly let customers pay for certain payment instruments.
acm ACM let know that consumers sometimes more than 10 percent had lost the total amount of the order when they pay with PayPal or credit card. These practices are inconsistent with the applicable regulations, which stipulates that only the actual cost of a transaction may be charged. These would consist of variable costs and fixed costs associated with the payment.
As a result of having the action companies, including Just Eat and Thuisbezorgd, only decided to spend the actual costs. In some cases, companies have completely waived the charging of transactiekosten.Dit would mean that customers end up paying less per order, according to ACM. Thuisbezorgd now charges 25 cents a iDeal payment, what was once a euro. Just Eat first charged one euro for payments via PayPal and credit cards, this is now respectively 40 cents and 50 cents.
The regulations that the measure allows ACM can be found in the European directive Consumer Rights, which in the Netherlands from June 13, 2014 strength is. The regulator will continue to keep an eye on in the future or companies actually follow the rules and keep.Viewing:-150
