Kenai.com and java.net close
Users of the community websites kenai.com and java.net have received a message that both sites will stop on April 28, 2017. Java.net already referred some time to Oracle’s own Java community site.
Oracle The closure means for users that they are existing projects that are on the sites there must be collected before the deadline in order to preserve it. The contents of a project can be retrieved by an administrator once. Oracle warns therefore the instructions for obtaining a tarball of a project to make arrangements with other project-admins about who makes the request. Oracle handles requests on a first come, first served basis. To request a tarball or forwarding traffic to the project to a new location, Oracle has a form drawn up .
Project Kenai was created in September 2008 by Sun Microsystems. In February 2010 announced Oracle that in connection with the merger of Sun and Oracle Kenai would be transferred to java.net with the underlying infrastructure of kenai.com to java.net would pass. The migration would at that time be ‘fast behind.
