Kickstarter Campaign Blocks smart watch achieves his goal in an hour
The Kickstarter campaign for the Blocks-smart watch has achieved its goal of $ 250,000 within an hour. For $ 195, users have the watch itself. The expansion modules in the form of links cost $ 30 each.
Blocks Wearables wants his eponymous smart watch put a product on the market that is highly reminiscent of Google’s Project Ara, but in the form of a smart watch. With the watch itself, users can view notifications, give voice commands and monitor their sleep patterns and activity. There are five modules available on completion: an extra battery, heart rate monitor, GPS, NFC chip and the adventure module, which measures altitude, barometric pressure and temperature. Later in 2016 following the modules for an extra SIM card, fingerprint reader, LED light and a programmable button.

But the more companies and individuals maximize the potential of this open platform, the more modules the user has to choose from. Here are some possibilities.” Blocks Wearables here refers to the modules for the measurement of air quality, a camera, additional storage, and measuring the stress level of the user. Thus, it is not fully clear whether these modules actually cast, by any party, and when.
The other modules, for example, vibration, kinetic loading, and the measurement of the oxygen level of the blood, are mentioned in the introductory video, but not in the text on the page Kickstarter. Of these, it is not entirely clear whether and when these modules actually come true.
According to the developer, it will be possible for people with an average sized wrist to confirm four modules to their smart watch, while those with a smaller wrist will come out in three modules. In addition, there is still a band to the adjustable buckle which ensures that the smart watch, despite the use of links, is always tight enough around the wrist.
