KPN lowers rates for alternative suppliers of copper

KPN tariffs for alternative providers that offer on KPN’s copper network services reduced retroactively. The provider was under pressure because ACM regulator had imposed a penalty which could run up to five million euros.

We have reduced the prices for competitors to access the network last month, evidenced by the publication of the regulator. Therefore, competitors who offered services in recent years over the copper network, presumably money back. ACM forced KPN to cut after a complaint from Tele2, one of the service providers on our network.

The provider owns the copper network, but to competition in order to keep the regulator has determined that KPN to itself must charge the same rate for use of the copper network as it relies on other companies. That the company should continue to keep doing.
